Brantel Group operates three companies across energy and technology, marine manufacturing, and mineral exploration and mining. Each holds its own licences, staff and customers. What they share is the habit of owning the whole line, from the supply agreement through the build to the service afterwards.

Brantel Lanka
Supplying the corporate sector since 2004
The company entered the market as appointed agent for Lenovo, launched its own E-TEL device brand in 2008, and opened an enterprise division in 2014 for servers, thin clients, mini PCs and custom software.
It is national distributor for Corning, Cisco, GoodWe, SMA, Deye, SolarEdge and JA Solar among others, with branches, dealers and service centres across the island and technical teams who commission what they sell.

Marine manufacturing
NorthWest Marine Lanka
Built at Dikkowita, sold beyond it
The company started in 2006 at the Industrial Development Board estate in Dankotuwa with a small team of craftsmen and the aim of building longline fibreglass hulls good enough to export. In 2023 it moved into a purpose built yard opposite Dikkowita International Fisheries Harbour.
Alongside the boats it provides marine engineering to the Sri Lankan fishing community: maintenance contracts, vessel operation contracts, longline advisory work, ice and fish processing plant installation, and supply of gear, engines, generators and spares.

Working for the fleet that works the coast
Most of what leaves the yard goes to Sri Lankan owners running multi day trips out of harbours like this one. The engineering side of the business keeps those vessels at sea, with maintenance and operation contracts, gear and spares, and advisory work on longline methods.
The same capability builds the shore infrastructure behind the fleet, from ice plants and fish processing plants to project planning for the sector.

Brantel Mineral Exploration and Mining Services runs exploration programmes on the group's own projects and under contract to other licence holders, targeting heavy mineral sands, chromite, manganese, copper and iron ore.
Geological, engineering and metallurgical staff have come from working mines around the world. Projects are mostly open pit heavy mineral sand and industrial mineral deposits, with project work reaching across Africa, Australasia and the Middle East.

What the group looks for
Heavy mineral sands, chromite, manganese, copper and iron ore. Targets are assessed on grade, tonnage and the cost of moving the product to a port, rather than on headline resource figures alone.
Every programme runs to the same sequence: map the ground, survey it, drill it, assay the samples, then decide whether the deposit carries a mine.
Capability

Field mapping
Geological and structural mapping to identify new deposits and set drill targets.
Geophysical investigation
Electrical, electromagnetic, magnetic, ground penetrating radar and gravity surveys across prospective zones.
Drilling
Programmes run on owned or contracted rigs, with core and chips logged, sampled and modelled through to a block model.
Sample analysis
XRF for oxides in field and laboratory, AAS for elements, grain counting for heavy mineral sand assemblages.
Studies and permitting
Economic assessment, pre feasibility and feasibility studies, reserve estimation and environmental impact assessment.
Mine planning
Strategic mine planning and engineering for open pit deposits, active mining and operational audit.
